Life is about "You"

Opening up my email just now, I got this forward from a dear old friend of mine whom I've known since I was six.  (Yes, I've known her almost throughout my entire existence! )  Thank you for the forward. You know who you are :)  It's something I really like and would like to share it with everyone.

The forward is a message supposedly by Mother Teresa and it conveys a message that I think is important.  It reminds us that life is what WE make of it.

Sometimes, the world may seem like a horrible place to live in.  There are people who are self-centered, uncaring and may accuse you of things you didn't do.  There are people you cannot trust, people who will trick and take away all that you have built with your bare hands.   (Like Chuck Bass's hotel was taken away from him by his Uncle Jack in Gossip Girl).  There are those who will lie to get whatever they want from you.  Even if you didn't do anything, simply being happy may make others jealous.

The world is indeed a nasty place.

Nevertheless, it's important that you remain true to yourself.  Don't let what "others" think or say rule your world.  Too often or not, I see people react and succumb to peer pressure.  In the end, they lose a bit of themselves and end up living life according to "others" ideals and thoughts instead of living life according to what they want to.  They live to "fit in."

Whatever happens, do what you think is best for you and for the world.  At the end of the day, life is about "you."  Don't forget.

Enjoy the forward! :)

"People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
...Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have,
and it may never be enough;

Give the world the best you've got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis,
it is between you and God;

It was never between you and them anyway. "
